Join Bradford’s Lord Mayor running the Leeds Marathon 2023
The Lord Mayor Councillor Martin Love, Lady Mayoress Helen Love, and The Lord Mayor’s Appeal chair Hawarun Hussain, have so far signed up to run as part of #TeamLordMayor.
Bradford Hospitals’ Charity is the Lord Mayor Appeal’s chosen charity for his year in office with all funds going to the BIG Neonatal Appeal.
The appeal aims to raise money to create accommodation for parents who have poorly babies in the Neonatal Unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
The Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon will start and end at Headingley Stadium on May 14, 2023, as does the Leeds Half Marathon on the same day.
Councillor Love, who along with his wife Helen, is a member of Saltaire Striders, said they were looking forward to the challenge ahead.
“We would love other runners to join our #TeamLordMayor and help us raise funds for the BIG Neonatal Appeal. If you can’t manage running the 26 miles, then there is also a half-marathon option within the same event. If you can’t manage that, please dig deep and donate to this wonderful cause.”
